To mark the 140th anniversary of the company and the centenary of the Arts D\u00e9coratifs, Moissonnier drew inspiration from a motif designed by artist Raoul Dufy and couturier Paul Poiret for a library in Fontenoy. <\/p>\n\n

A dialogue between heritage and modernity<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

In 2025, Paris celebrates 100 years of the Decorative Arts with a major retrospective, highlighting the figures who revolutionized design and fashion. Among them is Paul Poiret, the visionary couturier of the 1920s, whose geometric patterns and play on color continue to inspire contemporary designers. <\/p>\n\n

To mark the 140th anniversary of the house<\/strong>, Moissonnier has revisited an emblematic motif, imagined by the painter Raoul Dufy, and used to create a kimono-style coat by the famous couturier. Enlarged and reinvented, the motif now adorns the back of a Fontenoy bookcase. <\/p>\n

Celebrating the Louis XV style on the one hand, and the decorative arts on the other, this bookcase bridges two eras. By magnifying a motif designed by Raoul Dufy in 1 and reusing it on a piece of furniture in this style, Moissonnier reaffirms its roots in modernity. The piece is like an invitation to rediscover the heritage of the Decorative Arts. <\/p>\n\n
