Rocaille chest of drawers at the Palais de l’Elysée in Paris

An icon at the Elysée

An icon of Moissonnier’s creations, the Louis XV chest of drawers by B.V.R.B. is transformed by Pierre Gonalons’ contemporary vision of this unique piece. Renamed Rocaille, in reference to the characteristic style of the reign of Louis XV, a pink gradation veils the chest of drawers, gradually fading to reveal the wood. The drawers feature four rock-shaped jewel handles.

The Grande Exposition du Fabriqué en France

The Grande Exposition du Fabriqué en France returns in 2023, building on the success of its two previous editions. Initiated by Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic in January 2020, this annual event honors companies, craftsmen, producers and industrialists who are fully committed to French manufacturing.

Open to the public and free of charge, the aim of the event is to showcase all the players – local authorities, companies and citizens – involved in the drive to promote industrial and economic sovereignty. The Palais de l’Élysée, in its gardens, lounges and main courtyard, will be showcasing 125 products made in France, from every department and territory in mainland France and overseas. They are highly varied, illustrating the wealth of French know-how. Whether everyday objects, local specialties, industrial tools or emblematic innovations, they all come from companies of all sizes and in all sectors of activity.

In 2023, particular emphasis has been placed on environmentally-friendly, socially-aware production processes that contribute to the maintenance of regional know-how and local economic development. Each visitor will find one or two products that are ambassadors for his or her own département, and at the same time discover all the best that France has to offer.
